Our Challenge
Belagavi has several slum communities where children often lack access to basic opportunities, especially education. Many of them do not receive the support they need at home to attend school regularly. To bring these children into the mainstream and ensure they receive proper education, we established the Utkarsha Learning Center in 2018. Since then, the number of children enrolled has grown remarkably. Today, more than 1,000 children are receiving education at Utkarsha. However, with this rapid increase, our two existing school buses and the current space are no longer sufficient to meet the growing demand.

With the support of Jana Small Finance Bank, we have added a new school bus to our fleet, significantly strengthening our transportation facilities. This addition allows more children to travel safely and reach school regularly and on time. Reliable and timely transportation has helped reduce absenteeism and lowered the risk of children dropping out due to travel difficulties. Thanks to this support, many more students can now participate fully in their education without the worry of missing school.
